Compassion Journal is here to:
1. INSPIRE compassion in DAILY LIFE
2. BUILD a WORLD COMMUNITY around compassion
3. HONOR compassion’s MULTI-DIMENSIONALITY
4. Make compassion EDUCATION accessible to all
No single description or representation tells the whole story of what compassion is, so this Journal tells different kinds of stories. It tells stories of science, stories of social exchange, stories of literature, cinema, politics and history, and their sets of meanings and relations in light of compassion.
Rather than address compassion as something that Buddhists practice, scientists research, or psychologists study, we will allow multiple modes of access into compassion to help people think about compassion in a more expanded way. We hope that reading this journal will help you see how compassion relates to and is essential to every part of life.
